No list of St. Patrick’s Day parade routes should be topped by any place other than Beantown, which hosted the nation’s very first such celebration way back in 1737. The annual parade is held in South Boston, which has long been known as the most densely Irish-American populated part of the city. The route begins at the Broadway MBTA station, then follows Broadway for a long time until it eventually ends at Farragut Road.
Here are a few choice rentals with a birds-eye view of the largest celebration in the country.
410 West Broadway, with all its luxury apartments and a convenient parade-watching patio, is situated right on the parade route. Just down the road is the slightly less swank, but still quaint 345 West Broadway. Closer to the start is 150 W Fourth Street, as is the new construction building 50 West Broadway.
The nation’s capital knows how to throw a party or two, especially where St. Patrick’s Day is concerned. The 2022 parade was canceled in large part due to COVID-19-related funding issues. Hopefully, it’ll be back up and running in 2023 along its usual route of Constitution Avenue.

All of this happens just blocks west of many of San Diego’s most well-known landmarks, including the San Diego Zoo, the Air & Space Museum and the Comic-Con Museum.
A two-bedroom unit at 454 Olive Street enjoys a patio and is only one block’s distance to Balboa Park. The nearby highrise at 525 Olive Street has a more modern feeling, not to mention unobstructed views of the surrounding areas.
