Explore Everett’s coffee scene
Coffee is a great entry point to experiencing Everett. With plenty of coffee shops and “third places” throughout the city, you’ll be able to get a rejuvenating cup of coffee while also getting the lay of the land to experience if Everett is where you want to live. Pick one or more options from below to explore during your one day in Everett:
Makario Coffee Roasters: “Makario Coffee Roasters is a cozy cafe on Colby with unique drinks like Taro Latte. This is a great spot to meet up with friends, co-workers, and family to unwind during the holidays. When staying in the cafe, they serve their drinks in unique mugs that will bring a smile to your face.” – Jimmy Smalley of Yoga Shala Everett.

The Muse: “There are many great coffee shops in Everett, but one of the most unique ones is The Muse. Housed in a 101-year-old fancy former Weyerhaeuser building, The Muse is a coffee shop by the Everett waterfront during the day, then transforms into a speakeasy-inspired whiskey bar at night. It’s full of historical photos and has an old brass bank vault you can step into.” – the team at My Everett News, a local news publication for residents of Everett.

Step four:
Don’t want to plan? Try a premade itinerary
If picking your itinerary isn’t what you want to do, don’t worry! Jessica Burnett of Seven of Hearts Photography and Rachel of Salish Sea Ceramic Studio, have created two separate pre-made itineraries for the perfect one day in Everett.
“To start the day right you’ll need to head over to Narrative Coffee and then move over to the Iconic Funko store for photo ops and a custom Pop doll.
For lunch, I’d head over to the Irishman and fill up on my favorite dish, shepherd’s pie. Afterwards, I’d cross the street and pop into the Zamarama Gallery to check out their current showcase.
At sunset, I’d park at Grand Ave Park to enjoy the colors and overhead view of the Everett Marina. After the colors start to fade it’s time to head to the footpath bridge and explore the marina. Depending on the mood you could stop by Fisherman Jacks for dim sum, grab a craft cocktail at Bluewater distillery, or my personal favorite a fresh house-made rootbeer at Scuttlebutt. Walking the marina means looking at some incredible boats, sea life and maybe even a seal or two.” – Jessica Burnett of Seven of Hearts Photography, a local photography service specializing in corporate photography and family portraits.
“Start your adventure by driving to the end of Hewitt Avenue, where it turns into Bond Street. Find convenient parking and take a leisurely stroll south. Along the way, enjoy historic views of Everett’s port from Depot Park, and be sure to stop and appreciate the blooming flowers in this private Port Garden. Continue toward the Forgotten Creek Trail, where a giant cedar tree stands as a silent witness to the area’s history. The urban hiking trail through this forested space will make you forget you’re still in the city, with a babbling creek and scenic beauty around every corner. It’s a perfect spot to reconnect with nature, no matter the season.
If you’d prefer a more relaxed pace, head north from Bond Street to the Everett Massacre Memorial on Hewitt Avenue, a reminder of the city’s past and its transformation over time.
For a true local secret, don’t miss the Pigeon Creek Trail, just across the fence from the port. This hidden beach is accessible by foot or bike via Everett Avenue — a perfect urban escape to a beautiful secluded beach.
After your outdoor adventures, fuel up with a delicious meal. Choose between K Fresh, which offers Korean hot stone rice bowls with plenty of vegan options, or the Soundview Dive Bar, a local scene with strong drinks, cheap beers, and classic bar food.
Wrap up your adventure with some guilt-free shopping at Salish Sea Ceramic Studio, a local treasure specializing in handmade pottery and classes. Browse unique, PNW-inspired pieces, from functional mugs to whimsical slugs. It’s the perfect place to pick up your go-to pottery piece while supporting local artists. For extra credit, check out the class schedule and plan your Hewitt adventure around one of our refreshing pottery classes.
If you’re visiting on the third Thursday of the month, be sure to check out Everett’s Art Walk, which kicks off at Salish Sea Ceramic Studio with rotating exhibits and a communal art project. The nearby Sno-Isle Co-op also hosts free wine tastings during the event!
So, what are you waiting for? Plan your Everett adventure today!” – Rachel of Salish Sea Ceramic Studio.
